Meet Janno Mumm from Apopka, Florida

Some people work their whole lives in a career and never really figure out what they really want to be…when they grow up.  Others manage to learn to love their careers after years of hard work…it grows on them so to speak.  And then the third group, the lucky group, know right off the bat what they want to be.  We had the pleasure of meeting one of these fortunate fellows in our November 2007 Heavy Equipment Operator class.  Of course we are talking about Janno Mumm.

Meet Rene Martinez from Pahokee, Florida

In November of 2007 many of us at National Training had the pleasure to meet Rene. Rene was one of those students when you meet them you know is something special. The word we got from our instructors were nothing but positive and the mention of his name made them smile a bit which is hard to get them to do sometimes.

Rene’s story is an inspiring story of a young man that had a goal and a dream and succeeded. Rene succeeded because he remained enthusiasitic about his goals and knew he could achieve them if he kept his focus.

Meet Cory Roth from Dennison, Ohio

Cory was selected to be National Training’s Class Graduate for our July 2007 Heavy Equipment Operator Class.

Cory enrolled in our course in May 2007. Obviously, he didn’t waste time acheiving his goal to become a heavy equipment operator. Like Cory, many other students realize the benefits of our highly efficient training program. In a very short time our students become highly skilled, highly motivated and highly employable professionals ready to start brand new lives.

Meet Eric Baltazar (Right) from Pahokee, Florida

Eric was selected to be a National Training’s Featured Graduate.

Eric, through a partnership program between National Training, Inc. and Palm Beach Community College (PBCC), enrolled in our training program to become a professional heavy equipment operator.

Before making his life enhancing decision to attend National Training, Eric operated a tractor doing various jobs. Wanting to increase his skills, employablity and his pay check Eric started to research his best options. Through various sources Eric had gotten word that National Training, Inc. was the best. We think his sources are pretty smart

William Vergantino had a successful and profitable career as a truck driver. He was not, however, completely satisfied with the profession. It seems that the time away from home over the road trucking demanded, was more than he was willing to give. William wanted to be home more with his family. William caught an ad on the TV for National Training’s Heavy Equipment School, and he thought it sounded interesting and a way out of trucking.

Pictured here is Mr. Matthew Boston of West Palm Beach. Matt has a nick name of “Big Dog.” Matt attended our Heavy Equipment Operators School back in October of 2004. Although he was properly trained on all the common construction equipment, we did not train him on the Wiggins Marina Bull used to move boats to and from the water.

Matt is employed by PGA Marina. He is responsible for hundreds of thousands of dollar’s worth of marine vessels. One mistake could seriously impact PGA’s bottom line and Matt’s employment history. That’s why PGA was looking for someone professionally trained. The skills Matt learned at National translated well into what PGA required.

Standing next to this impressive looking Kamatsu 200 Hoe Ram is our Mr. Jeff Pickens. Jeff is originally from San Antonio Texas. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force. Jeff dedicated 22 years of his life to defending freedom. After Jeff’s Air Force career was over, he still needed something to do and to feel useful.

National Heavy Equipment Operators School was Jeff’s gateway to the new career. When Jeff was a little boy, his grandfather took him to a strip mine in Southern Ohio where he saw the world’s largest dump truck. It was that visit and that dump truck that started a dream. Jeff gave us a call and he was soon enrolled in his future.

“Turning land into a neighborhood” This astonishing quote came directly from this month’s featured graduate. Mike Boone attended National Heavy equipment Operators School last August and has not regretted his decision once. Mike is working for Bryan and Sons Site Contractors in Maryland. He has become a valuable asset for them. He skills allow him to operate the; Komatsu 300 Excavator, Komatsu 270 Excavator, Komatsu 61 Bulldozer, Komatsu 65 Bulldozer, and the Komatsu 31Bulldozer. With this equipment and the training he received from us, Mike truly turns land into neighborhoods.

Pictured inside this Caterpillar 938F Articulating Loader is a very happy man. His name is Sean Williams. Sean graduated from National Heavy Equipment Operators School November 0f 2004.. Prior to discovering his talent for large earthmoving machines, Sean worked for Eastman Kodak.. Sean operated a forklift for them until that fateful day when he was informed his services would no longer be required. It seems Eastman Kodak found someone willing to do it for a lot less money, in China and Mexico. Sadly, many businesses are finding it necessary to move portions of their operations off-shore.

Please meet one lucky son-of-a-gun, Mr. James Chasteen. This gentleman is a heavy equipment operator in the great state of Hawaii. Prior to living and working in the fiftieth state, he spent sometime as a US Marine defending our freedom in far away places like Okinawa Japan. As he was nearing the end of his obligated service James realized he needed to do something to survive. He had always had a dream of being able to mover earth, and he made the decision to look in to earthmoving careers.
