Let us introduce Jacob “Biggin” Sewell of Palm Bay, Florida.

Jacob came to National Training to become a heavy equipment operator because he likes to work outdoors and really doesn’t care too much about the thought of working indoors.  We can’t blame him.  Tied to a desk or working indoors period doesn’t sound to pleasing on those nice sunny days.

Jacob tells us he has a fiancée and two daughters Jade and Elizabeth who are his world and his parents.  All of whom have supported him with his decision to come to National Training.  Prior to becoming a professional heavy equipment operator Jacob used to build boats and also worked in plumbing.

Like other students Jacob took his time and did his research before he decided to come to National Training for his education.  According to Jacob “With careful consideration of a few other similar schools I felt National would give me the best opportunities to succeed.”

We like to ask our students what their experience was like with National Training and what memorable moments they have had while with us.  Jacobs is unique in that his most memorable moment came really early in the first day.  “Memorable moment was the first 20 minutes of the first day.  I got the nickname “Biggin” representing Palm Bay.  I enjoyed everything…the instructors were very helpful and gave me the knowledge to be a successful heavy equipment operator.”  “I learned the proper operation & maintenance of the machines and how to do the most with each piece of equipment.”

Jacob’s future plans are to do the very best he can in life and he also adds that Sam and Skip are great instructors and “I’m glad I choose to go to National”.

Instructors Comments:

“Mr. Sewell, like all student’s, started out cautious on some of the equipment.  However, after about two days he started to see what we were looking for and started doing a really great job.  Jacob and I talked a lot about fishing and he also told me he liked operating the heavy equipment just as much as he did fishing.  Jacob worked harder and harder each day he got better and better.  I like having Jacob here and he would do anything he could to help others.  He will make someone a good equipment operator.”
