Meet Eric Nelson from Palm Bay, Florida.

Eric is National Heavy Equipment Operator School’s Graduate of the Month for November 2009.

Eric is married to his lovely wife Vicki of 25 years and they have 2 girls, Breanna, 16 and Kallis, 10.

Prior to attending National Training, Eric worked as an Engineering Technician and an OTR (Over-the-Road) truck driver for Harris Corporation in Palm Bay.

When we asked Eric why he chose to become a Professional Heavy Equipment Operator he told us he has always has an interest in the “Big Tonka Trucks” and now after coming to National “I know I made the right choice – I really can’t believe you get paid to have that much fun.”

We agree, there’s nothing like getting up every day to go to work…and having fun doing it?

Krystopher Volp

Krystopher is a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corp and the proud father to a beautiful 8 year old girl named Autumn.  Thank you for your service Krystopher.

Although Krystopher is a heavy equipment operator in the Marine Corps and he also worked for two years as an operator prior to joining the Marines he came to National Heavy Equipment Operator School to enhance his skills.

Introducing National Heavy Equipment Operator School’s Graduate of the Month for September 2009

Meet one of America’s finest, U.S. Marine David Andrews.

David is a family man married to his wife Donna for 3 years now and as mentioned is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps where he also ran heavy equipment.

David chose to continue his to work as a heavy equipment operator because he always enjoyed working with the machines and the work you can accomplish with them.  He also chose to enhance his skills by attending our Professional Heavy Equipment Operators program.  He chose National Training because we are accepted by the military and we are a Nationally Accredited school.

Meet David Kalisz

National Heavy Equipment Operator School’s Graduate of the Month for August 2009.

David is almost a local to us hailing from Gainesville, Florida; home of the Florida Gators.  Prior to attending our school David worked in the construction field for many years doing heavy civil construction which mostly did roadwork, aggregate production and asphalt paving.

When we asked David why he chose to attend our heavy equipment training program he told us he always had an interest in learning how to operate the heavy construction machines.

Standing next to this impressive looking Kamatsu 200 Hoe Ram is our Mr. Jeff Pickens. Jeff is originally from San Antonio Texas. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force. Jeff dedicated 22 years of his life to defending freedom. After Jeff’s Air Force career was over, he still needed something to do and to feel useful.

National Heavy Equipment Operators School was Jeff’s gateway to the new career. When Jeff was a little boy, his grandfather took him to a strip mine in Southern Ohio where he saw the world’s largest dump truck. It was that visit and that dump truck that started a dream. Jeff gave us a call and he was soon enrolled in his future.

Pictured inside this Caterpillar 938F Articulating Loader is a very happy man. His name is Sean Williams. Sean graduated from National Heavy Equipment Operators School November 0f 2004.. Prior to discovering his talent for large earthmoving machines, Sean worked for Eastman Kodak.. Sean operated a forklift for them until that fateful day when he was informed his services would no longer be required. It seems Eastman Kodak found someone willing to do it for a lot less money, in China and Mexico. Sadly, many businesses are finding it necessary to move portions of their operations off-shore.

Everyone meet Dallas Wright.
National Training’s Heavy Equipment Operator Graduate for the Month of April 2009.

Dallas came to us from Montgomery Connecticut.  Dallas is currently serving in the military and has just returned from two combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Dallas has a beautiful wife named Melva and 3 beautiful children.  Two daughters named Dallas and Kati and one son named Dustin.  Dallas and Melva have been married since 2006.  Melva, by the way, is also in the military.  Dallas tells us that his wife and kids have been the greatest part of his life.

Meet one of the country’s finest…U.S. Marine Austin Gauthier.  Austin has been selected to be the Graduate of the Month for March 2009.

Austin just finished a four year service as a combat engineer.  Austin currently lives in Camp Lejeune, N.C. and his family consists of his mother and father, who live in Michigan, and a sister who is preparing to attend school for her Doctorate in Pharmacy.

Let us introduce Jacob “Biggin” Sewell of Palm Bay, Florida.

Jacob came to National Training to become a heavy equipment operator because he likes to work outdoors and really doesn’t care too much about the thought of working indoors.  We can’t blame him.  Tied to a desk or working indoors period doesn’t sound to pleasing on those nice sunny days.

Jacob tells us he has a fiancée and two daughters Jade and Elizabeth who are his world and his parents.  All of whom have supported him with his decision to come to National Training.  Prior to becoming a professional heavy equipment operator Jacob used to build boats and also worked in plumbing.
